I like #3

I like to Garden!

I have discovered the fun
of growing my own flowers
and food.

I love to grow flowers

Especially from bulbs.

I like to grow a food Garden.

We have strawberries planted
with our flowers. My husband
has done most of the weeding
and harvesting the last couple
of years because of snakes.

I do not like snakes!

I like having all the color
of fresh veggies and fruits,
like our yearly pumpkins.

This year, we are growing
our garden to give away to
those who need food.

The plan is to grow tomatoes,
zucchini, pumpkins and
peppers.

What do you like to grow?

Hi Suzanne,
I love to plant a garden! I have been enjoying asparagus already this year, and always plant tomatoes and peppers. Last year I also grew carrots. I also put in a fair amount of annual flowers but perennials are more my bag since they come back year after year. Anything that has pretty flowers! This year I added a hummingbird feeder to the mix. I have to try to get a picture of that being used! Happy Mother's Day!

I get really excited seeing new shoots, then tiny buds for vege as it grows.I check on them every day. It's like a little miracle. Of course weeds sprout, grow and it's no miracle. I love that you are working on something to give to others too. If we all took care of each other we'd remember we are all important. thanks for that and linking up!!!! Number 3!

I have just been to the garden store today to get our first batch of plants and a few seeds. Besides flowers, we plant some lettuce, and tomatoes and peppers in pots. Our yard is too shady to grow many vegetables, but a little bit is always nice! Your strawberries look wonderful!

Oh, strawberries! I'm lucky to grow a few tomatoes and herbs each year (I do a little container gardening).

How cool that you plan to give away most of your produce. I have heard it before, but I was struck by an ad on the radio yesterday about food and the hungry, and how we truly have enough food in the US for NO ONE to be hungry.

Here in Montana (and especially where we are out in the woods) it is tough to grow vegetables - the deer and other critters gobble them up! So we go to farmer's markets for our produce in the summer!
