Sad little stash report!

This is the quickest fabric stash report in history...

Nothing...

Zero...

No changes!

Why, you ask?

I fell over/on to an engine block in the Man cave
(W and M are restoring 3 cars, so there are parts everywhere)

I'm in a temp cast until Thursday.

Dr couldn't find anything broken,
but my elbow joint is crushed/compacted/squished together
and I guess it's not suppose to be.

Not doing any goals this week for
Create and Make or Health and Weight.

My #1 goal is to heal!

Happy Birthday!

My birthday was this week...my last year in the 40's...

Where did the time go?

About age 3 in California
Started my love for shoes and the color red at an early age!

Started traveling/living outside of the United States
Mom and I in Venice, Italy-about age 9

The awkward teen years-age 16
Living with my brother and his family in Western Samoa.

Married Lady-Mom-Grandma
Alaska with W on our 27th wedding anniversary.

What am I looking forward to over the next year
as I move into my 50's...
More creativity...
More family time...
More contentment...
More Happiness...

What else could a girl ask for....

Random Photos

I purchased a new phone recently
and have been trying to figure out all
the bells and whistles it has to offer.

So, some random photos....

Boomer the kitty sleeping on my bed

 Flowers for my (upcoming) birthday

Sea themed wreath from my sister-in-law

 Marble sculpture

Dress form wearing a sample beauty pageant sash
and some of my daughters button collection.

It was time consuming to download these photos.
I'm sure I am doing it the hard way.
I usually do.....when it comes to technology

Fabric stash report

Good Morning, snowy World!
We have gotten about 4 inches of snow over the last 24 hours,
and it's still snowing hard and sideways!

Onto my stash report...

Fabric in this week: 5 yards
Fabric in YTD: 17.5 yards

Fabric out this week: 7 yards
Fabric out YTD: 40 yards

Difference: 22.5 yards

I've started making things for youngest daughter,
who is expecting a daughter in early Summer.
This week, she decided on the nursery colors-
black, white, lime green and bright pink.
I made her 2 receiving blankets,
plus a pair of flannel pj bottoms (to fit her new baby bump)

Goals for Feb 21-27

Make & Create:

Binding on red 9-patch quilt
Binding on E's 12 month flannel quilt
Catch up on journal blocks
Start list of granddaughter sewing I need to do

Health & Weight:

Go to gym at least twice this week (weather permitting)
Walk one mile/5 times this week
Make homemade bread at least once during the week

What do you have planned for the week?

Fabric stash report

This is my first report in 3 week, since we were on vacation.

Fabric in this week: 0 yards
Fabric in YTD: 12.5 yards

Fabric out this week: 2 yards
Fabric out YTD: 38 yards

Difference: 25.5 yards

This weeks sewing consisted of me making pj bottoms
for one of my pregnant daughters (who's tummy has started to stick out)

I have been sewing some blocks for a future secret project, so I can't count those.

I have 2 quilts that need binding, but I haven't finished them, so I ccan't count those.

I need to get back in the sewing room!

February Birdies

Here is my February Birdies BoM

The block looks strange in the lower right corner...
...my iron leaked water!

I am enjoying doing this project.
It's fun to go to the flicker group and see the slight variations
everyone brings to the same block.
Some change the border from squares to bricks.
Some applique the birdies instead of stitching them.

What are some of your current projects?

I'm home!

Did you miss me?

I've been cruising Mexico with some family for the last couple of weeks

(Cabo from our balcony!)

While I was gone, Judy drew #10 for the
February UFO project. The #10 on my list is

Bear in the Farmhouse...it's actually one of Judy's patterns!

I need to send it to my quilter, Diane, then I'll do the binding.

January's #6 red 9-patch is done...I'll post photos later.

Now to catch up on 2 weeks of blog reading....
