Back in the day,
when I had a houseful of children,
especially the teen years
(when boys can eat 24/7)
I use to can everything.
We have always had a garden
and would can and can from about
August to October every year.
Now that we are (nearly) empty nesters,
I don't can anymore
Mondays high temp was around 85 degrees.
Today it was about 45 degree.
These are the last of the tomatoes.
My husband covered the bushes with a tarp
and hopes to have a few more by the weekend,
but I think the garden is done.
Normally we have a large crop of pumpkins
and share with the whole neighborhood.
This year...only 2!
I guess I better get out my canning stuff...

It's an interesting life isn't it? Just when you think something is over it isn't! We can garden all year round here (although winter veg are limited and slow!) which is pretty good.
