I WILL sew today!

I joined the children's clothing sew-in at
for this week...

I choose these patterns for my Granddaughters.
We are going into Fall/Winter, but they both
like to wear skirts and jumpers year round,
so I'll just pick heavier weight fabrics.
The sew-in rule: some sewing related activity 1 hour per day
for 7 days in a row.

Today, I went shopping at Saver's (2nd hand store)
and found these two new-uncut Burda patterns.

I've never sewn with Burda patterns before.
Any tips or suggestions?
I'd like to do the long sleeve jacket for me
and a couple of shirts for the Hubby.

I nearly have my scrap box cleaned out

I cut all my scraps into squares or strips.
The squares range from 2.5-6.5 inches.
The strips width are from 2-3.5 inches.

I seem to be having a burst of sewing energy this week....
I better keep it rolling along!

Hope you get to the sewing! I have sewn with Burda patterns and they are very good. Depending on how old the patterns are they may or may not have seam allowance or hems included. The pattern will say if it doesn't. If it doesn't you will have to add it. They changed a while ago so here's hoping your patterns have seam allowance included! Happy sewing!
