My first official stashbusting report for week #1 of 2009!
Fabric in this week-25.5 yards
Fabric used this week-30.5 yards
Fabric purchased for 2009-25.5 yards
Fabric used for 2009-30.5
So far, I'm doing good, but then it's only the first week and I have been sewing quite a bit without the grandson. Maybe when I get back to a regular babysitting/everyday schedule, the sewing will slow down.

Now, down to the real reason you are reading this post...the giveaway! For my 100th post, I am giving away one of my handmade Elephants!
Isn't she cute!
The pattern was created by my Grandmother Ruby back in the 1930's. She entered the pattern into a sewing contest-she won the 2nd place of $10 dollars...that was alot of money during Depression Time 1930's in the USA.
This Elephant is made from the scrap sections of a quilted jacket I made about 2 years ago.
Does he need to come to your house? Have a little one who needs a new friend to hug? Leave a comment, with your e-mail address, so I can contact you for a mailing address.
I will pick the winner from the comment section
the evening of Thursday, January 8th
Good Luck!

This post only showed up on Google Reader today, Suzanne, so I don't think it's you :-)
Congratulations on 100 posts - and guess my favourite 'wild' animal - Yes!! Elephants!!! My favourite sighting of them was a herd having a bath in the Zambesi river upstream from the Victoria Falls - AMAZING!!
Congrats on 100 posts!
I love your elephant, I would love to have him all for myself, selfish person that I am. He reminds me a a teddy bear made from an old quilt that I had years ago.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Well, this is my first time to your blog but it won't be my last. I am a quilter living in Michigan. Congrats on you blog posting. Your elephant is very cute!
Cute! Count me in. My email is: summersetbanks at gmail dot com.
This is my first time to visit your blog, also, but not my last. The elephant is adorable, and yes, he should come to my little granddaughter who is in a brace after being in a body cast for
2 1/2 months.
Congratulations on your 100 posts.

I love the elephant, made even more precious since your grandmother made the pattern. Yes, I have a little one to gift the elephant. Your stashbusting is starting off great.
Your baby flannel quilts are really cute, and I LOVE the elephant. My girls would love to cuddle it. Thanks for joining the stash busting efforts!
What a fun elephant! My 18 month old is all about animals these days and elephants are among her favorites. We are teaching her to sign and this was one of the first animal signs she learned. Congrats on 100 posts!

Oh- I would love a Grandma elephant! I was always a little jealous of Amy's elephants :)
Your elephant is so cute, I would love to win him/her. My daughter is pregnant with her 5th child and when the others come here they would love to give the elephant some love and attention.
Congratulations on the 100th post. I'm sure you will have another 100 before to long.
