I started this quilt about 6 months ago with the idea of using up more scraps. I love red and yellow, so that meant I had alot of red and yellow scraps. The pattern called for 5 blocks across by 6 blocks down...the blocks are 9 inches square.
The yellow in the middle is pieced so it is 3-D...I wasn't sure if you could tell in the photo. By the pattern instructions, you quilt the top as shown, bind it, and your done. I'm not sure if I like that look like I did 6 months ago, so.....
any ideas? Border or multiple borders? More squares? Share, please!
I also had to include a photo of my latest thread usage...two 3000 yard cones down...many more to go. Actually, I don't remember either cone being completely new at 3000, so it may be more like 1500 to 2000 yards per cone I have used since January.

I am not really good at deciding quilting patterns, but I think I would suggest that you NOT do things that will take away from the 3D yellow squares. They are great - so perhaps something that sort of radiates from them. Maybe? Sorry to not be full of great suggestions. It does look terrific, though.
Cheers.
Maybe a corner folds border? You know like was popular instead of ruffles for boys baby quilts when I was a baby. Then you go on with the corners theme... LOL, like I know ANYTHING about quilting...
