I have been reading blogs this morning (while baby takes his morning nap) and realized it's been quite a while since I have read and/or posted. I have been super busy with sewing and family projects.
Below is my March charity quilt. I took 2.5 inches strips from my scrap box and sewed them three across. When I would run out of one fabric, I just added another strip end to end and kept going....
After a while, when the pieced fabric got really long, I started cutting 6.5 inch squares. I sewed the blocks into rows, switching the direction the strips went every other square. Added scrap (pink) border and it's all ready to quilt and donate....don't know who I am donating to though...any suggestions?
I've also been busy doing the Utah Quilt Guild Mystery 2009 project. I pulled all the fabric from my stash. Left to Right: Background, Dark, Medium & Light fabrics. The bottom of the photo: Left is the February instruction results of half squares using the background & dark fabrics....Right is the March instruction results of light rectangles with background corners.
Hope you are busy and happy too....what are you working on?

You can donate it to me>>>>>heehee...just kidding. I love that idea...and it looks wonderful. You kill two birds with one stone, get rid of scraps and get an awesome quilt. Thanks for sharing.
what a great way to use noodles! And your stash numbers are good too!
