Last of this years QOV quilts

I have the privilege of living in
a community near a military base.
I also have numerous family members
who have served in the USA military services.

QOV (Quilts of Valor) is an important
military support group that I donate
quilts to every year.

Today, as part of the Memorial Day weekend,
I made my last QOV quilt for 2012.

My 2012 goal of not purchasing
any fabric-patterns-yarn
makes it so I no longer have
enough red-white-blue fabrics to make a quilt.

One of my first purchases
on January 1, 2013
will be lots of patriotic fabrics
for many QOV quilts in 2013!

I also ran out of patriotic fabrics so my last QOV quilt was tans and browns and the next one is greens! The one after that is R/W/B in hand dyes...I'm cheating!

Wonderful cheating! I will just switch to making charity quilts for some other organization. Thanks, Vicki!
