Teaching the next generation

My daughter teaches a class for the
10 and 11 year old girls at her Church.
It's called Achievement Days.

Every other month they try to do
a charity project with the girls
where they do service for others
while learning a skill.

This month, I taught them about
basic quilt piecing.
I made quilt tops, which the girls tied.

My daughter and 3 of the girls.

2nd quilt with 4 of the girls.

I used up some of my scraps
with the Wonder Blocks pattern.

Super fast and a little addicting piecing the Wonder Blocks.

I've started another quilt using the Wonder Blocks
in Red, white, blue and yellow scraps
to donate to Quilts of Valor.

Yeah for stash busting!

Yeah for passing quilting and service on to the next generation.

This is a fabulous project, sharing quilting with the youngers and making fabulous quilts for those that will treasure them.
