I am having a difficult time with this new blogger program, so bear with me!
I found this fun cotton print and 99 cent
pattern for a grocery/shopping tote.
I have a few bags I use but decided it would be fun to
make a few more bags.
Here is the fabric I purchased
both in South Carolina and Utah to make
a memory quilt of our week on the beach.
First time I am going to have to add to my
fabric stash report this next Sunday!
The Borough-Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle Beach
had a wonderful exhibit of about 20 quilts
from the Gee Bend (Alabama) Quilters
We couldn't take photos so here are some of the
postcards showing the quilts.
Many were made with corduroy fabric
and had old feed sacks used for the backings.
All quilts were hand quilted too.
I liked the quilters version of a
log cabin block-
they call the pattern "Housetop"
Thanks to my SIL, Amanda, for going with me
to the quilt show...it was great!
