Forgot the Friday Finish post (again!)

I've been taking care of sick people

(myself included) this week,

so I just got a little knitting done.

Big Welt Stitch

and

Giant Welts

I have kept up on my goal

of knitting a block per week.

Now, if I could just get everyone

in this house healthy all at the same time.

Easter dress marathon with the Friday Finish

Skipped last week from posting my Friday Finish.

Not only was I still sick (going on 6 weeks now)

but my granddaughter had croup and a ear infection.

Not a happy house!

I finished 3 more knit blocks

Square to Square

Checkerboard

Garter Rib block

I also began the annual sewing of the Spring

dresses for all the granddaughters...5 this year!

Youngest, Miss M, was the first...

I love this Simplicity Pattern.

Used it with my daughters 25 plus years ago.

Used it so much I wore it out,

Purchased another copy when my

first granddaughter was born 7 years ago.

Miss E was next..

Same pattern, but instead of pleats

across the front I gathered it

and added a under skirt with a ruffle.

It's National Quilting day tomorrow....

maybe I'll switch up to finishing some

long overdue bindings.

Any plans for you?

Friday Finish

I am at home recovering from pneumonia,

so little sewing, but lots of

knitting and crocheting, going on here.

Knit Block #6

The pattern is called Columns.

I am working on a multiple month

charity project for the NICU

at a local hospital.

One of the items I am crocheting is preemie hats:

The top and middle hat are for 2-3 lb babies.

The bottom hat is for 3-4lb babies.

I got the free patterns from ravelry.

It's been a great project for when

you are laying around the house coughing.

Two Friday Finishes to share

I missed posting last week (again)

so I am posting my finishes

for both weeks together

Last week was knit block #4

called Pebbles Stripe

and this week was knit block #5

called Bubbles.

I have done alot of charity sewing too,

but none of the projects are completely done,

so I can't call them Finishes.

How are you doing with your creating goals?

Friday Finish 27 Jan

Not much finished this week...

I cleaned out my bag and tote patterns

and found the grab bag pattern

from the  all people quilt website.

A small, but nice sized bag,

to carry a single knit or sewing project.

The longer strap goes thru the smaller strap

to make it easy to carry.

If I made it again, I would make the 2 inside pockets

much larger...you can't really store much in them.

On to another project....

Friday Finish weeks 2 & 3

My life has been very crazy over the last few months.

Consequently, the 2nd (and 3rd) week into

my Friday Finish post...I didn't post.

So...better late than never...

January 13th:

I finished 2 flannel baby quilts

for my Church Charity

(but don't have a photo)

I finished my 2nd knit block for a afghan

Stockinette stitch

January 20th:

I've been cutting alot of fabric for charity quilts

and finished my 3rd block

The ribbing stitch.
